NRL player Bryce Cartwright has firmed as favourite to win the 2017 Frownlow Medal after he asked someone else to force his ex-girlfriend to abort his baby.

The Panthers rising star apparently employed the services of Lou Zivanovic to convince his ex-girlfriend to have an abortion through an offer of $50,000 and other persuasive tactics.

The Frownlow Medal is awarded to the player whose off-field demeanour epitomises the values of the modern day footballer and draws attention to the status of footballers as role models to young Australians. It covers Australia’s four major football codes; the National Rugby League (NRL), Australian Football League (AFL), the A-League (Football) and Rugby Union’s Super Rugby competition. Kiwi international and Sydney Roosters player Shaun Kenny Dowall won the inaugural medal in 2015, while Corey Norman from the Parramatta Eels won in 2016.

Cartwright got the woman pregnant while they were dating. He then apparently told her he planned to have nothing to do with the baby, to which the woman agreed. Then, he asked club ‘fixer’ Zivanovic to make the problem go away.

Zivanovic offered to pay the woman $50,000 in return for aborting the baby against her will, and staying silent about the events.

When the money didn’t work, Zivanovic and Cartwright allegedly bullied the woman to force her cooperation.

This incident follows a revenge porn attack on Cartwright from another woman he was dating – at the same time that he go the first girl pregnant and refused to have anything to do with his baby.

Cartwright is currently an ambassador for St.Mary’s Rugby League Club in Sydney’s west, and is expected to take up a role with pro-abortion campaigners in the near future, after he no doubt stars for the Panthers, NSW and Australia.
