Jason Johannisen’s Frownlow Nomination Less Impressive Than His Perm.

AFL player Jason Johanissen has been nominated for The Frownlow Medal after involvement in an incident that shocked sports fans less than the curly, blonde mop bouncing around on top of his skull.

The Western Bulldogs player was caught up in an ‘incident’ at Crown Casino in Melbourne recently during a night out with friends.

The Frownlow Medal is awarded to the player whose off-field demeanour epitomises the values of the modern day footballer and draws attention to the status of footballers as role models to young Australians. It covers Australia’s four major football codes; the National Rugby League (NRL), Australian Football League (AFL), the A-League (Football) and Rugby Union’s Super Rugby competition. Kiwi international Shaun Kenny-Dowall won the inaugural medal in 2015 before Corey Norman in 2016 and Tim Simona in 2017.

Judges have reminded Jason that the colour, style or volume of his hair will in no way influence the awarding of The Frownlow Medal, which will be announced later this year.
